Home hosting San Diego
PROVO, Utah – After splitting two matches in Boise last weekend, BYU women's tennis returns home to host San Diego, on Saturday, March 19. The match begins at 11:00 a.m. and will be played at the BYU tennis courts.
"We always have a good match with San Diego," BYU head coach Lauren Jones-Spencer said. "Last week we focused on doubles and did well over the weekend and so this week we need to refine a few things in singles and put everything together with a positive attitude."
BYU (3-9, 1-1 WCC) looks to build on an undefeated WCC record at home, winning their last home match against San Francisco, 5-2. The Cougars return to Provo after defeating Boise State, 6-1, and falling to UNLV, 2-5, last weekend in Boise.
San Diego ( 6-4-1, 3-0 WCC) has yet to lose in WCC play and has wins over Saint Mary's, Santa Clara and Pacific. BYU holds an all-time 7-9 record against the Toreros.
Admission is free to the public and free pizza will be provided. Fans can also follow the matches live.
