Cougars travel to Disney for Collegiate Clay Court Invitational
PROVO, Utah – Four members of the BYU women's tennis team will compete in the 2015 USTA Collegiate Clay Court Invitational hosted by Florida State at the ESPN World Wide of Sports Complex Nov. 5-8 in Orlando, FL.
"We've never played in this event before," BYU head coach Lauren Jones-Spencer said. "We're excited to play against some new competition that we normally don't get to face."
Juniors Toby Miclat, Savannah Ware and Demi Daniels along with freshman Taylah Beckman will represent the Cougars in both singles and doubles play.
The women's tournament features 17 teams including five participating Florida schools. BYU is the only West Coast Conference school participating in the event.
First round singles play begins at 8:00 a.m. ET Thursday morning with first round doubles following at 3:00 p.m. ET.
Thursday's matches will be televised through ESPN 3. Toby Miclat's first round singles match against FSU's Gabriella Castaneda is scheduled to air at 8:30 a.m ET.
