
Miclat, Beckman fall in ITA Regionals Championship doubles final

PROVO, Utah – BYU's Toby Miclat and Taylah Beckman fell Saturday after reaching the doubles final of the ITA Regional Championships at the campus of UNLV.
"I'm really happy with how we finished the tournament," BYU head coach Lauren Jones-Spencer said. "Toby and Taylah did a great job making the finals."
Miclat and Beckman, seeded eighth in the doubles draw, were defeated in the doubles final 6-2, 6-0 by top-seeded Nevada duo Shelia Morales and Blaga Delic. Earlier in the day, the Cougars defeated Northern Colorado's Remi Immler and Beth Coton in a closely contested 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-4) match to advance to the finals.
The Cougars' next preseason action will be Nov. 5-8 at the Florida Invitational Tournament.
