PROVO, Utah – No. 64 BYU women’s tennis heads to San Diego this week to compete in the West Coast Conference tournament Wednesday through Saturday.

The No. 64 women’s team (10-11, 5-4) pulled out a 4-3 win at San Diego last Saturday, on the same courts they will play on this week, to clinch the No. 5 seed and move above .500 in conference play on the season. They will face No. 45 Saint Mary’s (13-8, 7-2), the No. 4 seed, Thursday at noon. With a win, the Cougars would play Friday at 10 a.m. PDT.

BYU played the Gaels’ women’s team in Moraga earlier this season but fell 4-3. The Cougars won the doubles point in the match, but fell in four of the six singles matchups. Junior Nicolette Tran beat then-ranked No. 103 Jana McCord.

All matches will be streamed live through the conference and can be accessed through the BYU schedule page
