LOGAN, Utah – Senior Morgan Anderson-Littlewood and sophomore Savannah Ware led BYU on a strong final day at the Utah State Invite by capping off a perfect tournament as a doubles team. The Cougars also won seven of the eight singles matches they played.

“The girls had a great weekend and played a lot of matches,” BYU head coach Lauren Spencer said. “It’s a great lead in to our big regional tournament.”

Ware, Andreson-Littlewood and Brittanie Eraso all won both of their singles matches on the day and sophomore Demi Daniels split her two matches for BYU. In the first set of matches, all four Cougars won in straight sets while allowing more than two game victories for their Weber State opponents in only one set. Ware beat Kristi Elmer 8-2, 8-4, Anderson-Littlewood beat Dominique Beauvais 6-1, 6-2, Eraso was victorious over Lauren Shulte 6-2, 6-1, and Daniels beat Carly Loyd 6-2, 6-1.

After Ware and Anderson-Littlewood picked up the doubles win over Utah State, 8-4, both continued to dominate in their singles matches against Montana State with identical scores, 6-1, 6-3. Eraso also won in her matchup with Molly Crum, 6-2, 6-2.

BYU returns home to prepare for USTA/ITA Regional Championships Oct. 15-19.
