Successful day at Utah State Invite

LOGAN, Utah – BYU women’s tennis had a strong showing on day one of the Utah State Invite as all Cougar doubles duos won their matches and sophomore Savannah Ware and senior Morgan Anderson-Littlewood picked up wins in singles competition.

Ware beat Ariana Aldrey of Boise State in three sets 6-2, 6-7 (8-6), 6-1 and Anderson-Littlewood swept Megan Lalon of Boise State 7-6 (7-3), 6-2. Freshman Brittanie Eraso and sophomore Demi Daniels also competed in singles competition but both fell to Bobbi Oshiro 6-0, 6-1 and Naomi de Hart 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) of Boise State, respectively.

Ware and Anderson-Littlewood also teamed up to capture two doubles victories over Agata Bachanek and Dominique Beauvais 8-3 of Weber State and Maria Tangarife Laura Theus of Idaho State 8-4. Eraso also picked up two doubles victories playing with fellow freshman Katie Fitt in the first set of doubles matches and Daniels in the second batch of matches.

BYU continues play in the tournament Saturday with singles matches at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and doubles matches against host Utah State at 1 p.m.
