Women's tennis heads to Cal Nike Invitational
PROVO, Utah – After a successful BYU Invitational, Cougar women’s tennis heads west for the Cal Nike Invitational in Berkeley, California. The tournament begins Friday Sept. 26 and runs through the weekend.
“This is a great tournament for us because we get some really high-level matches,” BYU head coach Lauren Jones-Spencer said. “The competition is top-notch and will help us prepare for regionals next month.”
The matches will be played at Cal’s newly renovated Hellman Tennis Complex and Channing Tennis Courts a few blocks away from Cal's campus. Matches played in the Hellman Tennis Complex can be seen via live video on CalBears.com.
Senior Meghan Sheehan-Dizon is coming off the singles title at the BYU Invitational last weekend while fellow Cougars Nicolette Tran and Savannah Ware won the doubles title. Ware also won the consolation bracket final.
BYU will play in the Utah State Hidden Duel on Oct. 3-4 after returning from the Cal Nike Invitational.
