PROVO, Utah – BYU women’s head coach Lauren Jones-Spencer announced the signing of  Savannah Ware for the 2013-14 season.

“I am very excited that Savannah has decided to sign and come to BYU in the fall,” Jones-Spencer said. “She is a very hard worker on the court and I know she will be a great and immediate asset to our program."

Ware is a four-star recruit from Thousand Oaks, Calif. The senior tallied a 70-7 record during her high school career, including 61-4 in singles and 33-0 in Marmonte League play, which consists of eight schools in the Ventura County area.

This year, she was named the league's co-Most Valuable Player. Ware won the league tournament singles championship.

In December, Ware was also named the Ventura County Star’s Girl’s Tennis Player of the Year.
