Netters fall to Saint Mary's on the road

MORAGA, Calif. – In its second match in as many days, the BYU women’s tennis team fell to No. 43 Saint Mary’s 5-1 at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex on Saturday.
The Cougars (7-9) fall to 1-4 in league play while the Gaels (10-7) improve to 5-0 in the West Coast Conference.
Due to impending bad weather, the match started with singles. As a result, double were not played.
Senior Aubrey Paul extended her win streak to seven matches as she topped Elizabeth Searl 6-3, 6-1 at the No. 6 singles position.
On court 2, Meghan Sheehan-Dizon was narrowly beat by Catherine Isip 7-5, 7-6. Desiree Tran also fell at the No. 1 position 6-1, 6-0.
Saint Mary’s finished the match with additional wins on courts 3, 4 and 5.
The Cougars return home on April 8 to host Washington State at 10 a.m MDT.
