PROVO, Utah – The BYU women’s tennis team returns home after last week’s road trip to host Portland for its first conference matchup of the season at the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts on Wednesday morning.

The Cougars (6-5, 0-0 West Coast Conference) split their last two matches, including a 4-3 loss to BYU-Hawai’i and a 4-3 win over the University of Hawai’i. This will be the first home match for BYU since March 2.

During that road trip, freshman Mackenna Maddox, senior Aubrey Paul and sophomore Meghan Sheehan-Dizon went undefeated in singles play.

In doubles, Desiree Tran and Paul hold a team-high 7-1 record at the No. 3 position.

Portland (7-6, 1-1 WCC) is coming off a 6-1 home victory over Gonzaga. The Cougars have won all three meetings against the Pilots.

The match begins at 10 a.m. MDT and admission is free.
