"San Diego State has some nice swimmers," said women's head swim coach Stan Crump concerning the meet on Friday. "Also Pacific will be probably the toughest team we will face this season."
The men's team is 2-0 in dual meets after defeating UNLV 143-98 last Friday. They have won 18 straight dual meets, dating back to the 1999-2000 season. This will start the first dual meet against Pacific and Pacific is scheduled for an annual meet against Pacific for the next several years.
The men's team will also have their top three divers back from the USC Invite. The BYU divers swept the competition last weekend in Los Angeles against several of the top schools in the country, including Stanford. Freshman Andy Bradley won the 1-meter competition, junior Aaron Russell won the 3-meter, and junior Justin Wilcock won the platform event.
"Each individual diver really did some spectacular things," said head diving coach Keith Russell. "To compete against some of the best in the nation and have a separate individual win a single event is great for our program to be recognized nationally."
