The Athletes' Journal: Gwen Gustafson

BYU Athletics has published a new entry in The Athletes’ Journal — a series featuring Cougar athletes telling their story in their own words.

Gwen Gustafson, a sophomore on the BYU women’s swim team, shares her story moving from place to place but always having swim as her safe haven. Gustafson shares experiences pushing through the difficulty of being an athlete but sticking with her passion and finding her place and even an unexpected love in the end. 

The Athletes’ Journal series regularly features the unique perspectives of BYU student-athletes throughout the year. The series provides in-depth insight into the lives of members of BYU’s intercollegiate sports programs.
