CLE ELUM, Wash. — Rose Huang of BYU women’s golf improved in her second day on the course at the Cle Elum NCAA Regional with a 76 (+4).

“Rose had just a couple of shots cost her today, but it was overall a much better day,” BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. “We are looking forward to closing out her career as a Cougar with a really solid round tomorrow.”

Huang improved by one stroke over her opening round performance, but still finds herself six strokes behind the third-place individual, Polly Mack of UNLV. Only the top three individuals advance to nationals in Fayetteville, Ark. Huang is tied with two other individual competitors for 64th overall and fourth among individuals. Southern Utah’s Chanikan (Pluem) Yongyuan is currently in qualifying position in second place among individuals.
