PROVO -- After a well-deserved 12 day rest, the Cougars head to Palo Alto, Calif. to compete in the Stanford Invitational against four teams including No. 10 Stanford.

No. 10 Stanford will be the fifth ranked team BYU has played thus far this season. Coach Gordon Eakin has commented several times on the experience the team has gained from playing these tough ranked opponents.

“To be the best you need to play the best, and that’s what our schedule this year is allowing us to do,” Eakin said. “This team has the talent, and the heart to compete at that level and I am extremely proud of our accomplishments thus far.”

In addition to playing No. 9 Stanford, BYU will also play UC Santa Barbara for the second time of the season, Santa Clara and the University of Pacific.

The Cougars’ first doubleheader of the Stanford Invitational will be Friday, March 26, against UC Santa Barbara at 12:15 p.m. (PST) and No. 10 Stanford at 4:45 p.m. (PST).

Live stats will be provided at www.byucougars.com.
