Finishing on the Road
PROVO -- The regular season ends for BYU softball as the Cougars hit the road for five games this week beginning Tuesday night at Utah Valley State.
BYU (36-17, 11-5 MWC) will take on the Wolverines Tuesday at 4 p.m. for the second and final time of the season before wrapping up its Mountain West Conference regular season at San Diego State and UNLV.
The second-place Cougars will be battling for postseason positioning when it takes on the league leading Aztecs Thursday before taking on 2005 MWC runner-up UNLV on Saturday.
BYU is currently in a second-place tie with Utah. Each team remains four game behind San Diego State with each team having four games remaining.
Next week the Cougars will make a return trip to Las Vegas for the MWC Tournament.
BYU won both the MWC regular season and tournament titles in 2005.
