PROVO, Utah – The BYU softball team released its fall schedule on Wednesday, which includes six home games and two away games.

"Our eight game fall schedule will help us shape this year's team," BYU head coach Gordin Eakin said. "It allows us to see our new players perform within our team system and tryout different position combinations. At the conclusion of our fall schedule, we usually have a good idea of where we are as a team and as individual players."

The Cougars are coming off another West Coast Conference Championship title and a run in the NCAA tournament. They finished the 2018 season with a 36-22 overall record and a 13-1 conference record. Many players received honors throughout the 2018 season. As a junior, catcher Libby Sugg was named NFCA Third Team All-American, NFCA All-Pacific Region Second Team, All-WCC First Team and WCC Softball All-Academic Team.

Sophomore Bridget Fleener also earned NFCA All-Pacific Region Second Team, WCC Freshman of the Year and All-WCC First Team. Junior pitcher Kerisa Viramontes was named WCC Co-Pitcher of the Year and received All-Pacific Region Third Team.
