SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For the first time in her career, sophomore Lexi Tarrow was named West Coast Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.

In four games at bat, she hit 5 for 11 to lead No. 23 BYU softball to wins over No. 11/12 Georgia and Louisville last week at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. During the doubleheader on Saturday, she went 4 for 6 with three RBI. Her two RBI in the win over the Cardinals tied her career high. In addition to her strong .455 batting average, she had a .571 on-base percentage over the four games.

Her .462 season average leads the team, as does her .517 on-base percentage. She's also second on the team in hits with 12.

This is the second WCC Player of the Week nod for BYU after freshman Rylee Jensen won last week. The Cougars also had two WCC Pitcher of the Week honors in the first two weeks of the season.

Marissa Young from Pacific was named WCC Pitcher of the Week. The full release can be seen on the WCC’s website.
