Three Cougars named MPSF Scholar-Athletes
WOODLAND, Calif. — Three members of the BYU men's volleyball team were named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men's volleyball all-academic scholar athletes team, the conference announced on May 23.
Seniors Alex Ah Sue and Mitchel Worthington along with freshman Teon Taylor were honored for the 2022 men's volleyball season.
In order to qualify for the conference's all-academic team, the student-athlete must carry a 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically, completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is received and competed in at least 50 percent of the team’s competition in the season for which the award is received.
A fifth-year senior, Ah Sue finished with a 3.27 GPA in Post-Baccalaureate Studies. Worthington finished with a 3.14 GPA in Business Management. Taylor completed his second academic year at BYU with a 3.71 GPA in Biology.
