TEMPE, Ariz. –After shooting a first round 4-under-par 280, the BYU men’s golf team slipped from second to seventh after a second round 10-over-par 294 on Friday at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational.

Junior Zac Blair leads the Cougars after one day of action, sitting in fourth place with one round to go. Blair was stellar in Round 1 as he birdied five holes and shot par on the rest. His second round was an even-par 71, placing him four shots behind the leaders.

Behind Blair is sophomore Justin Keiley in 14th place. Keiley highlighted the Cougars' day with an eagle on the par-5 10th hole. A second round 2-over-par dropped him seven spots from Round 1 to Round 2, but Keiley is still at 1-under for the tournament.

Other Cougars competing include Patrick Fishburn, Devon Purser and Cole Ogden. They are in 39th, 61st and 73rd, respectively.

Tournament play will conclude for BYU on Saturday when it plays the final round.
