Johnson Ends Run at NCAA Championships
TOLEDO -- Junior Brady Johnson finished up his final holes of play Friday morning at the NCAA D-I Men’s Golf Championships at the Inverness Country Club.
Johnson was only able to complete 14 holes of the final round Thursday evening before darkness set in and had to finish the last four holes early Friday, scoring 2-over-par with a birdie on the eighth hole and three bogeys.
He completed the initial 14 holes at 3-over, resulting in a combined third-round effort of 5-over-par 76 to end the championship at 13-over-par overall.
The eight top teams advanced to the match play championships Friday and Saturday to determine the national champion. North Carolina State’s Matt Hill won the stroke play individual honor by finishing in first place overall at 6-under-par.
