Summerhays named to Golf World Mid-Season All-American Team
BYU Cougar Daniel Summerhays has been selected for Golf World's Mid-Season All-American Team and has been named Most Improved Player.
The junior from Farmington, Utah has had a great fall season, greatly improving from the year before. In 2005-06, Summerhays had a respectable 72.15 average in his first season back after serving a LDS mission. This fall, however, he posted a 69.33 average with nine of 12 rounds under par compared to 18 of 39 a year ago. Summerhays also matched the NCAA 18-hole stroke record with a 60 at Golden Horseshoe at the Ping Preview.
