BYU Team Ends the Day at the Pacific Invitational Under Par and in the Top-20

STOCKTON -- The No. 20 BYU men's golf team leads the Pacific Invitational after the first day of tournament play at the Brookside Country Club.

BYU currently leads the tournament with all of their players placed in the top-20 and under par. BYU as a team is 13-under with a 275.

Daniel Summerhays is the current tournament and team leader at six-under par with a 66. Summerhays sunk five birdies and one eagle in today's round.

Close behind Summerhays is senior Nick Becker as well as Robbie Fillmore who are both tied for ninth place. The two are both three-under-par after the first round of play. The Pacific Invitational is Fillmore's first tournament of the season in which Fillmore is already making a strong impact for the BYU team.

Seniors Jake Ellison and Clay Ogden are both one-under-par and tied for 20th.

The Cougars will resume play Tuesday at the Pacific Invitational. Live scoring is available on golfstat.com.
