PROVO, Utah -- Nearly 200 Cougar fans came out to Riverside Country Club Monday to hear and receive lessons from PGA Tour Pros and BYU golf legends like Johnny Miller, Mike Reid, Mike Weir, Dean Wilson, Daniel Summerhays, Zac Blair and Tony Finau.

After the one-hour free clinic, the entire BYU men's golf team, current coaches, PGA Pros and Cougar fans played a modified 18-hole scramble. Over 125 people played in 28 groups of 4-5 players.

The winning foursome was Manuel Merizalde, Kimble Smith, Wes Holcomb and former BYU football offensive lineman Braden Hansen. Merizalde, a former Cougar standout and an honorable mention All-American, made 16 birdies and two pars in 18 holes of play.
