Rodgers struggles in first round of NCAA Regional Championships

BREMERTON, Washington – BYU men’s golfer Jordan Rodgers is tied for 55th after the first round of the 2015 NCAA Bremerton Regional Championships on Thursday.

Rodgers, who was selected to compete as an individual in the regional event, shot 77 in the first round. He is in a seven-way tie for 55th (+5).

Fellow individual and West Coast Conference member James Fahy from Gonzaga is one of the players also tied for 55th. WCC foe Pepperdine is tied for eight after the first day. Kevin DeHuff from the Waves is tied for second place (-5) individually.

The University of Alabama-Birmingham is in first place, shooting eight-under-par. Sean Crocker from USC is in first place individually after shooting 66 in the first round.

The regional championships will continue on Friday with the second round beginning at 8 a.m. PDT. Live stats will be available on the BYU men’s golf schedule page.
