Cougars to play in MacKenzie Invitational
PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s golf is back in action next week at the MacKenzie Invitational on Oct. 13-14 in Fairfax, California.
The 16-team tournament will play the first two rounds on Monday and the last round on Tuesday. Cal, the host-team, has won this tournament five years in a row. The field includes fellow West Coast Conference member Saint Mary’s.
The Cougars will look to build off of their three top-20 finishes at the last tournament, the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. Senior Cole Ogden and junior Joe Parkinson led the team in that tournament, shooting four-over-par and finishing in a tie for 14th place. Senior Jordan Rodgers tied for 17th place, shooting five-over-par.
At this tournament last year, Parkinson led BYU to a fourth-place tie (-13). He shot eight-under-par to tie for seventh place.
BYU will tee-off at 8:15 a.m. on Monday at the Meadow Club. Live scoring will be available on the BYU schedule page.
