PROVO -- After briefly stepping out of Mountain West Conference play to sweep the Utah Valley State Wolverines, the No. 15 Cougars are back in league action this weekend, taking on San Diego State and UNLV. One of only four undefeated teams in the nation with a 16-0 record, BYU will put its perfection on the line Friday night at 7 p.m. against the Aztecs and then again Saturday night at 7 p.m. versus the Rebels on Elaine Michaelis Court.

In addition to those true blue Cougar fans who pack the Smith Fieldhouse this weekend, BYU will also be viewed by a national audience as Friday's match is being televised by BYUTV and Saturday's match will be aired tape-delayed on Sunday on CSTV. Fans who want to see Saturday's action live can also view the match via internet video streaming available on CSTV's All-Access package through the Mountain West Conference, which will stream the match live on its website at www.themwc.com.

"This is a challenging week for our program," said BYU head coach Jason Watson. "This will be our first look at San Diego State and UNLV. Both teams are playing well and will pressure us at home. How we prepare for each match this week will be key."

The Cougars have already taken the court once this week, recording their sixth straight sweep with a three-game win over Utah Valley State. Junior middle blocker Lindsy Hartsock combined with sophomore outside hitters Erica Lott and Chelsea Goodman to record 14 kills each in the victory with help from redshirt freshman Amy Schlauder, who guided the Cougars to a .381 attack percentage playing in just her sixth match of the year. Hartsock tallied a .571 hitting percentage and now leads the nation in that category, hitting .481.

BYU will be challenged by the Aztecs and Rebels, who are both experiencing success on the court this season. SDSU is currently 12-7 overall with a 4-2 conference record. The Cougars are 30-15 all-time against the Aztecs, including a regular-season sweep last year and a win in the quarterfinals of the MWC tournament. The Rebels are 9-9 overall but are currently right behind the Cougars in second place in the league with a 5-1 record. BYU is 15-2 all-time against UNLV.
