PROVO, Utah — BYU women’s volleyball head coach Heather Olmstead has announced the addition of transfer libero Kamaile Hiapo.
The 5-foot-7 senior will join the Cougars after four seasons at the University of Arizona. Hiapo was named honorable mention All-Pac-12 twice during her time with the Wildcats. She led Arizona with 492 digs last season, good for fourth in Wildcat single-season history.

A Skyline High School graduate from Gilbert, Arizona, she was a three-time all-state performer, including being named the Arizona Player of the Year as a senior.
Hiapo joins transfer setter Kalia Thunstrom as well as outside hitter Addison Benson, setter Silina Damuni, middle blocker Brielle Kemavor, middle blocker/opposite hitter Mia Lee, outside hitter Claire Little and libero Brielle Miller as members of BYU's 2023 recruiting class.
