PROVO, Utah — BYU women’s volleyball head coach Heather Olmstead has announced the addition of transfer setter Kalia Thunstrom.

A 5-foot-10 junior, Thunstrom has spent the last two seasons in Logan at Utah State. Playing in 41 sets between the 2021 and 2022 seasons, she recorded 163 assists, 69 digs, three kills and three service aces for the Aggies.

Thunstrom is a Murrieta Mesa High School graduate out of Murrieta, California, and holds the career, single-season and single-match ace records, as well as the single-season assist record at Murrieta Mesa. She also played five club seasons with Forza 1.
