Eschenberg named Senior CLASS Award finalist
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – BYU women's volleyball graduate middle blocker Kennedy Eschenberg has been named one of 10 finalists for the 2021 Senior CLASS Award.
The finalists were narrowed down by a selection committee from the list of 30 candidates previously announced last month.
Cougar fans are encouraged to vote for Eschenberg on the official Senior CLASS Award webpage. Fan balloting counts for one-third of the winner's selection with the remaining two-thirds determined by NCAA Division I coaches and national media members. Fans can vote once a day per device through Dec. 6.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition. Eschenberg's award profile can be found on the official website.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as a leader in their communities.
The Senior CLASS Award recipient will be announced during the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship in December.
