Koerber named WCC Offensive Player of the Week
SAN MATEO, Calif. – BYU opposite hitter Kenzie Koerber collected this week's West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week award, the league announced Monday.
This is Koerber’s first honor during her time as a Cougar and the second WCC weekly honor acquired by a BYU player this season. The week of Sept. 6, sophomore libero Madi Allen was Defensive Player of the Week.
Last week, the No. 11 Cougars swept both Utah and UVU, bringing the team’s record to 10-1. Koerber, who played four years at Utah, had 14 kills at the Utes. Additionally, she tallied six digs.
On Saturday against the Wolverines, her momentum continued. Koerber tacked on another 18 kills and eight digs on a .680 hitting percentage.
With 119 kills racked up this season, Koerber leads the Cougars offensively.
