PROVO, Utah – Seniors Mary Lake and McKenna Miller of the BYU women's volleyball team were awarded AVCA All-America recognition on Thursday.

Both student-athletes were named All-America honorable mention. The honors mark the sixth year in a row multiple Cougars have been named All-Americans.

Lake, an AVCA second-team All-American in 2018 and honorable mention in 2017, finished her illustrious career as the Cougars' all-time leader in career digs. A four-year starter, Lake was named the West Coast Conference's best defender three years in a row and is currently a member of the U.S. Senior National Team. She is the sixth Cougar to be named an All-American in three different seasons.

A third-team All-American in 2016 and honorable mention the past two years, Miller joins BYU great Alexa Gray as the only two Cougars to earn an All-America recognition all four years of their careers. The 2019 WCC Player of the Year, Miller finished her career sixth in the BYU rally scoring era in kills and points and eighth in sets played.
