Blue/White Game & Kids Clinic on August 24

PROVO - The BYU women's volleyball team will play its annual Blue/White game on Saturday, Aug. 24, at 1 p.m. at the Smith Fieldhouse.

The game will be followed by a Kids Clinic starting at approximately 2:45 p.m. at the Fieldhouse. Children ages 5 to 11 are welcome to participate in the clinic, which will last about an hour. Members of the team will help teach basic volleyball skills.

Both events are free and general admission.

The Cougars are coming off one of the most successful years in program history, including a 31-2 record, No. 4 final ranking and a trip to the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament.

Four All-Americans return for BYU, including senior libero Mary Lake, senior outside hitter McKenna Miller, junior middle blocker Kennedy Eschenberg and sophomore middle blocker Heather Gneiting. They're joined by five additional returning players and eight newcomers.

BYU begins the 2019 regular season in the Smith Fieldhouse on Friday, Aug. 30, at noon. The Cougars will face Boise State as part of the BYU Nike Invitational that also features contests against UVU and Marquette.
