Whitney Bower Signs with Cougars
PROVO, Utah - Head coach Heather Olmstead and the BYU women's volleyball program has announced the addition of setter Whitney Bower.
“Whitney plays with a competitive fire that spreads throughout an entire team," Olmstead said. "She has a good touch on the ball with an ability to get her hitters in rhythm. She is a proven winner and will raise the level in our gym.”
Originally an expected member of the Cougars' 2020 signing class, Bower reclassified and joins the seven signees announced in February, including her sister, Morgan.
The daughter of former Cougar student-athletes Danny and Caroline Bower, Whitney is a two-time All-American and a Top 50 Junior Recruit by Prepvolleyball.com. She helped Skyview High School to back-to-back 4A Idaho State championships and was the 2018 Southern Idaho Conference Player of the Year and a three-time All-State selection.
BYU is coming off its fifth-straight conference title and an NCAA Final Four appearance last season.
