PROVO, Utah – The No. 4 BYU women’s volleyball team claimed all three AVCA Pacific South Region awards and had a program-record six players named AVCA Pacific South All-Region on Tuesday.

Senior outside hitter Roni Jones-Perry was named the region’s Player of the Year while freshman middle blocker Heather Gneiting was named Freshman of the Year and Heather Olmstead was named Coach of the Year.

Jones-Perry and Gneiting were joined on the Pacific South All-Region Team by Lyndie Haddock-Eppich, Mary Lake and McKenna Miller with Kennedy Eschenberg named All-Region honorable mention.

Jones-Perry and Lake are now two-time All-Region honorees after earning the award in 2017. Haddock-Eppich, Gneiting, Miller and Eschenberg are each first-time awardees.

Olmstead earned her second Region Coach of the Year award after being named coach of the year in 2016. Also a two-time West Coast Conference Coach of the Year, Olmstead has guided the Cougars to a 29-1 record and a berth in the Sweet 16 this weekend against Florida in her fourth season as head coach.
