No. 9 BYU takes final regular-season road trip to Pacific Northwest

PROVO, Utah – No. 9 BYU women’s volleyball takes its final road trip of the regular season this week, traveling to Gonzaga and Portland.

Gonzaga

  • The Cougars face the Bulldogs Thursday, Nov. 9, at 6 p.m. PST at the McCarthy Athletic Center.
  • BYU holds a 16-1 lead in the overall series history and hasn’t lost to the Zags since the 2011 season.
  • The Cougars swept the Bulldogs in the matchup earlier this season in Provo.
  • Gonzaga is 13-12 overall this season and 8-5 in league play – good for third place.

Portland

  • BYU competes against Portland Saturday, Nov. 11, at 1 p.m. PST at the Chiles Center.
  • The Cougars are 12-1 all-time against the Pilots, picking up their only loss in the series last year in Portland.
  • BYU swept the Pilots earlier this year at home in Provo.
  • The Pilots are 14-11, 5-8 WCC so far this season and sit in eighth place in the conference standings.
