No. 12 BYU to play final regular-season home matches

PROVO, Utah – No. 12 BYU women’s volleyball returns home for the final time in the regular season this year, facing Gonzaga and Portland on Senior Day.

Last Time Out

The Cougars swept both Pacific and Saint Mary’s to remain in sole possession of second place in West Coast Conference play, one match behind San Diego.

Gonzaga

  • BYU will face off against Gonzaga (14-9, 7-6 WCC) Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. MST.
  • The Zags currently sit tied with Portland for fifth place in league play.
  • The Cougars hold a 14-1 advantage in the overall series history and have won the past nine meetings.
  • BYU beat the Bulldogs in three sets on the road earlier this year.

Portland

  • The Cougars compete against the Pilots (14-11, 7-6 WCC) Saturday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. MST.
  • BYU leads the overall series history with Portland 10-1.
  • The Pilots picked up their first-ever win against the Cougars at home earlier this season in five sets.

Thursday’s match against Gonzaga will feature a performance from acapella group Vocal Point. Saturday’s match against Portland is BYU’s Senior Day. There will also be Thanksgiving promotions at the match. Admission is free on Saturday.
