PROVO, Utah – Senior outside hitter Alexa Gray has been selected as the West Coast Conference Player of the Week for the fourth-consecutive time, the league announced Monday.

Gray led No. 11 BYU women’s volleyball to a four-set win over Pepperdine last week to secure an outright West Coast Conference Championship.

Gray led the Cougars on the night with 29 kills, just two shy of her career high, in addition to 12 digs for her ninth double-double of the season. Her 29 kills were the sixth-most kills collected by a BYU player in rally-scoring era history. Gray also holds the fourth- and fifth-place spots, earned earlier this year. Her 75 attempts were good for the No. 2 spot all-time in BYU rally-scoring era history. Gray now holds the first-, second-, third- and fourth-place marks in the rally-scoring era attempts category.

The win, which took place on senior night, helps the Cougars finish off a 26-3, 16-2 regular season record.

This is the fifth conference player of the week honor for Gray in 2015 and eighth of her career. Her five accolades this year are the most for a WCC student-athlete since Ali Troost of San Diego had five in 2010.
