No. 11 BYU to host Pepperdine on Senior Night

PROVO, Utah – No. 11 BYU women’s volleyball stays at home this week to finish off the regular season against Pepperdine, Tuesday night, for Senior Night.

Last Time Out

The Cougars (25-3, 15-2 West Coast Conference) won at least a share of the WCC title with wins over then-second place Santa Clara and San Francisco last week. Alexa Gray collected a new career high in kills (31) against the Broncos while adding 19 more in a sweep of the Dons.

Pepperdine

  • BYU faces Pepperdine (17-13, 8-9 WCC) Tuesday, Nov. 24, with first serve taking place at 7 p.m. MST.
  • The Cougars swept the Waves in the matchup earlier this year in Malibu and BYU holds a 19-8 lead in the overall series history.
  • Pepperdine has won five of its last 10 matches, most recently falling in three sets to Loyola Marymount in its lone match of last week.
  • The Waves are led by 2.87 kills per set from Nikki Lyons, Becca Strehlow’s 10.26 assist average, Lara Dykstra’s 4.33 digs per set and 1.11 blocks per set by Tarah Wylie.

Additional Info

This year’s seniors – Alexa Gray, Ciara Parker and Camry Godfrey Willardson – will be honored prior to the start of the match. Additionally, $1 nachos and drinks will be available for purchase.
