Boswell named to Academic All-District First Team
PROVO, Utah – Amy Boswell was named to the Capital One Academic All-District First Team Thursday.
Boswell is the only sophomore playing collegiate volleyball in the West and Canada to be chosen by a vote of collegiate sports information directors. She advances to the All-America First, Second and Third Team voting which will take place later this month.
The Aloha, Oregon, native plays middle blocker for the Cougars and is currently No. 2 in the nation in blocks per set (bested only by teammate Whitney Young), averaging 1.63.
Boswell is majoring in nursing and has maintained a 3.92 GPA through her first two years at BYU. She is the only representative selected from the West Coast Conference in either the first or second team.
