PROVO, Utah – The No. 21 BYU women’s volleyball team hits the road this week for more West Coast Conference action as they take on San Francisco and Santa Clara on Thursday and Saturday.

BYU (19-4, 12-1 WCC) won two home matches last week against Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine. The Cougars swept the Lions on Thursday and then beat the Waves in five sets on Saturday after being down two sets to none. The Cougars remain at the top of the WCC standings, with San Diego one game behind.

On Thursday, Nov. 2, BYU will take on San Francisco (11-11, 7-5 WCC) at 6:30 p.m. PST at War Memorial Gym. The Cougars swept the Dons in the first matchup of the series this year at the Smith Fieldhouse. BYU has never lost to San Francisco, posting a 7-0 record against them.

The Cougars will next face Santa Clara (8-13, 3-9 WCC) on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. PST at the Leavey Event Center. BYU beat the Broncos in four sets at home earlier this season. The Cougars lead the all-time series 5-1.

BYU is ranked in the AVCA Coaches Poll for the fifth consecutive week and the seventh week of the season.

Saturday’s match against Santa Clara will be broadcast live on TheW.tv. Links to live stats for both matches can be found on the BYU women’s volleyball schedule page.
