PROVO, Utah—BYU women’s volleyball begins spring practice Wednesday, prepping for off-season matches and tournaments in March and April. Spring practice will run through April 13.

Off-season play will launch with a matchup at Idaho State on March 16, the only out-of-state match slated for spring competition. The match begins at noon MDT.

The Cougars then travel to the University of Utah for a tournament March 30. BYU will then host the Utes April 5. Spring competition concludes with a tournament at UVU April 13.

BYU welcomes four newcomers to the roster for the 2013 season--two of which will play during spring competition--after saying goodbye to senior All-Americans Heather Hannemann and Nicole Warner.

In 2012, the Cougars recorded their best season since 2007, ending the year by reaching the region semifinals of the NCAA tournament, winning their first conference title since 2000 and tallying a 28-4 record, their best winning percentage since 1998.
