Preseason poll & All-Conference team
SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Following its debut WCC campaign, the BYU women's soccer team is picked to finish fourth in this year's 2012 West Coast Conference Preseason Poll, and seniors Carlee Payne Holmoe and Lindsi Lisonbee Cutshall are included on the Preseason All-WCC Team.
Santa Clara is picked as the favorite to finish first place for the season, capturing seven of the nine first-place votes. Pepperdine and San Diego are chosen above the Cougars who finished with 45 points overall.
Five of the nine WCC schools are represented on the preseason All-WCC team, led by Santa Clara's four selections. The 2012 season begins on Friday, August 17, with seven West Coast Conference teams in action. The Cougars kick off their season on the road, August 17, against UC Irvine and will play their home opener against Long Beach State on August 30 at 6 p.m. MT.
