Stratton named to First Team All-Freshman

LONG BEACH, Calif. — BYU’s Izzi Stratton has been named to the Bext IX All-Freshman Team by Top Drawer Soccer, the organization announced Wednesday. 

Stratton was named to the Top Drawer Soccer preseason Bext IX All-Freshman Team and did not disappoint on the pitch for the Cougars this year. Stratton proved to be BYU's consistent center back this season as a true freshman, with 12 shots and 1,445 minutes played. 

A WCC All-Freshman Team selection, Stratton was a key component for the Cougars with her strength and height on the backline to help secure five shutouts on the season. She will return for the 2023 season as one of the most consistent and solid defensive players for the Cougars.
