Chambers Gardner receives second straight Academic All-District 8 First Team Award

PROVO, Utah – Senior defender Sarah Chambers Gardner was named to the Academic All-District 8 First Team by CoSIDA for the second straight season on Thursday.
Gardner is majoring in chemical engineering and has a 3.90 GPA. Gardner has played in 15 games this season, starting four times. She also scored the game-winning goal against San Diego in the 83rd minute.
Gardner has been a WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll Gold Honors recipient each of her previous three seasons. Gardner was also on the WCC All-Academic Team in 2014 and a WCC All-Academic Team honorable mention in 2015.
Gardner will advance to the Academic All-America team ballot where first, second and third team honorees will be decided in November.
