BYU gymnasts prepare for season opener
PROVO – The BYU women’s gymnastics team will begin their 2012 campaign on the road against NC State, Saturday at 7 p.m. EST. The Cougars are excited to begin the season and eager to see the rewards of months of hard work in the off-season.
“This is our first real competition, and we’re ready to get going and see who can step up for us,” said head coach Brad Cattermole. “We’ve got a good group of kids, and I know if we perform at our best, we can be very successful.”
The Wolfpack opened their season January 6, barely losing to third-ranked Florida. The Wolfpack has been selected as the pre-season favorite to win the East Atlantic Gymnastic League by league coaches.
