Rollins Earns Fourth MRGC Accolade of the Season
LOGAN, Utah - BYU’s senior Elease Rollins earned Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Co-Beam Specialist of the Week for the fourth time this season, the organization announced Monday.
BYU last competed on Friday, Feb. 17 at Boise State in the ExtraMile Arena. The Cougars fell behind the Broncos early in the competition and were not able to surpass them, losing 196.500-194.925. BYU will look to bounce back on Friday, Feb. 23 for senior night in the Smith Fieldhouse when they take on the Utah State Aggies.
Rollins notched a 9.925 on the beam in BYU’s final rotation against Boise State on Friday evening, earning her the MRGC honors alongside SUU’s Karley McClain and Hailey Vultaggio. This was Rollins’ second-straight specialist award, fourth on the season. She has now scored above a 9.9 in five of BYU’s seven meets thus far.
