PROVO -- The BYU women's gymnastics team will face another tough test this weekend when it travels to Tuscon to take on No. 14 Arizona and No. 2 Florida at 7:30 p.m. in the McKale Center.

"Those are two very good and extremely talented teams," BYU coach Brad Cattermole said. "Our main concern is sticking our routines though. I'm not concerned about who wins the meet. We just need to score well."

The Cougars are ranked No. 26 in the nation with a Regional Qualifying Score of 193.055 in the latest polls released Feb. 27. Of the four teams in Utah, only No. 3 Utah at 196.160 has a higher RQS.

Against No. 3 Utah on Friday, the Cougars posted season highs on vault (49.000) and beam (49.075) while besting the Utes on beam and floor. Four gymnasts recorded career highs on vault alone, including Brittany Fischer (9.700), Sierra Jacobs (9.850), Hayley Jensen (9.800) and Dayna Smart (9.875). Smart also recorded a season- and team-best 9.900 on beam while Alethea Boon recorded a career-best 9.850.

BYU is ready to have a breakout meet this week especially on bars after struggling and counting falls against Utah last Friday.

"We have got to figure out how to put all four events together," Cattermole said. "Most teams can have a fall and not have to count it. We're not deep enough to do that."

Arizona is coming off an upset win over No. 6 UCLA in which they posted a 195.350. The Wildcats' season high is 195.875 against California. Top performers for Arizona include Aubrey Taylor, Karin Wurm and Danielle Hicks.

No. 2-ranked Florida posted a 195.950 in its last meet against North Carolina State and William and Mary. Its season average is 195.750 and its season high is 196.950. The Gators top performers are Corey Hartung, Ashley Reed, Samantha Lutz and Tiffany Murry.

Start time for the meet will be at 7:30 p.m. MST. A live stats feed will be available on the women's gymnastics homepage at byucougars.com.
