No. 19 BYU prepares for final home meet against Arizona
PROVO, Utah - No. 19 BYU is back in the Smith Fieldhouse for the last home meet of the season against the No. 35 Arizona Wildcats on Saturday at 12 p.m MST.
Most recently, the Cougars and Wildcats met for a dual meet in the Smith Fieldhouse on March 10, 2017 where BYU defeated Arizona 196.350 to 195.525. This win over the Wildcats was the first time the Cougars had beaten the Wildcats in 10 years.

THE COUGARS. No. 19 BYU took home the top score with a 196.450 in a tri-meet against the Illinois State Redbirds and the Washington Huskies on Friday, March 4 for senior night. Senior Sadie Miner-Van Tassell competed for all-around and tied her career-high score of 39.525 to receive the MRGC Gymnast of the Week honor for the eighth-consecutive week. She also received a 9.900 on vault to earn the Vault Specialist of the Week honors. Along with Miner-Van Tassell, Brittney Vitkauskas notched a 9.925 on floor to secure the pair co-MRGC Floor Specialist of the Week honors and Haley Pitou received Bars Specialist of the Week after scoring a 9.975, which ties the highest score in program history on the event.
THE WILDCATS. No. 35 UA fell to Oregon State in a dual meet with a final score of 195.925 on March 4 in Tucson, Arizona. Seven GymCats posted career-high marks in their meet against the Beavers. Malia Hargrove earned a 9.900 on vault to take home the highest score of the night and a new career high. She also posted a score of 9.925 on the floor apparatus to tie her highest mark on the event. The Wildcats will host Sacramento State on Thursday, March 10 before heading down to Provo to compete against the Cougars.
