No. 11 BYU heads to Los Angeles to face No. 10 UCLA
PROVO, Utah — On a high after earning its best performance of the season, No. 11 BYU prepares to face No. 10 UCLA of the Pac-12 on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. PST in Los Angeles at the Pauley Pavilion.
"We've built a pretty good relationship with UCLA and I was on the national team with their coach, Chris Waller, way back in the day," head coach Guard Young said. "What a cool experience to go compete against a top program in the country. For gymnastics fans, this will be a great matchup."
This will be the second matchup between the teams during head coach Guard Young’s time. Last season, the Cougars hosted the Bruins and Utah State on Jan. 18 in a tri-meet. UCLA topped the competition with an impressive 197.425, with BYU placing second (195.875) and Utah State placing third (194.750).
This stood as the first battle between the two since 1996.
