No. 14 Cougars take on No. 18 Cal and No. 19 Arizona State
PROVO, Utah – The No. 14 BYU gymnastics team travels to Berkeley, California, to take on No. 18 Cal and No. 19 Arizona State on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 5 p.m. PST.

THE COUGARS. BYU topped Utah State last week in the annual Kids Meet to help the Cougars climb up in the rankings and claim the No. 14 spot in Week 4. Captains Shannon Evans and Natasha Marsh continue to shine as both players claimed 9.900s against Utah State. Evans earned a 9.900 on bars and floor while Marsh's 9.900 on beam helped her share the title.
MRGC HONORS. Evans has earned at least one Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Specialist of the Week honors in all three weeks this season. She has received the honors for her performances on floor, vault and beam.
MRGC STANDINGS. Boise State and BYU have each earned two wins in conference action. The Broncos beat Southern Utah in Cedar City and at home while the Cougars topped Utah State on the road and in the Marriott Center.
THE BEARS. Cal is averaging a 195.688 after competing against LSU, Stanford and Arizona, all of which are top programs in the nation. The Bears also competed at the Collegiate Challenge Powered by Under Armour where they placed second of four just behind UCLA and ahead of Michigan State and UC Davis.
THE SUN DEVILS. Arizona State is averaging a 195.656, just below Cal. The Sun Devils are highlighted by their meets against Top 5 UCLA and Utah. Against the Utes, Arizona State fell 197.375 to 195.825.
